If you have toured any college in the United States or Canada in the last 18 months, you’ll have noticed a very unique spirit wear item out and about.  The Billboard Crew has hit college campuses and high schools with all of the makings of the hottest fashion trend.  Billboard Crews were launched in 2013 and have taken a strong foothold with the college and highs school crowds.  If you haven’t seen one, you do a double take once you do.  The area across the back for screen printing, is simply huge. Your message, logo or tag line will be broadcast in 4″ high bold letters spanning from 23′ to 26′ depending on the size of the jersey.  These jerseys are also available in youth styles.

Recently trickling down into the high school market and now hitting main stream retailers, these jerseys are the hottest trend in spirit wear fashion history in the last ten years.  You can find these jerseys in college and high school book stores across the country and in Canada and South America.

The Billboard Crews are custom made jerseys with a wide printing area available on the back.  These jerseys are not your typical long sleeve jersey or long sleeve T-Shirt, the seams are in different places and there is a lot of fabric on and under the arms.  This extra area is made available for printing.

Billboard Jersey are also called Pom Pom Pullovers, Billboard Crews, The Billboard Crew and Game Day Jerseys.  Whatever you decide to call your Jerseys, they will look amazing at your next club, group, team or organizational event.

Most Billboard Jersey are 100% cotton and come in a variety of colors and sizes.  Jerseys can be printed on both the front and the back, what most people are interested in are the stats on the back print.  Billboard Jersey can be printed on the back in up to 4 colors and for adults, the maximum imprint area is 23″ wide by 6″ high and for youth Jerseys, 21″ wide by 4″ high.

When selecting these Jerseys, it’s important to work with a screen printer that is familiar and capable with oversized screen printing, often called JUMBO Screen Printing.  Most traditional screen printers are unable to provide the necessary wide print on the back.  In fact, a good number of jerseys that come our way for printing, are shipped from other screen printers who opened the box and realized that they couldn’t print the job that they were contracted for.

These jerseys require a specialty screen printing press that is capable of printing the wide back.  Some screen printers may use vinyl to “stick on” your design, but with that material there is a shorter life span in the washing machine and you can not achieve the “puff” look that is customary with these jerseys.

Also don’t be fooled by potential imitation garments, some screen printers may choose to print a wider than usual print on the back of a long sleeve t-shirt.  These jerseys are specially sewn to include a billboard like back and seams have been moved so that the print area is unencumbered.  Don’t settle for an imitation garment or a thin print.

AMBRO Manufacturing uses puff inks, special screens and our oversized presses to produce the traditional look and feel of this special Jersey.

The production time is only 10 days and sizing charts are available per your request.  As a contract printing company, we can print on your garments or we can provide them for you.  The minimum order for Billboard Jersey is 24 pieces.

Most projects involve a 2 line back design, the first line being the large arch that is customary with this garment, and the line below it, a straight and smaller line, however, we can fit up to 3 lines of text on the back.  The jersey also allows for a front print, either full front or on or above the pocket, depending on which design jersey you choose.

You have your choice of garment colors and ink colors as well as ink types, i.e. sparkle, flat or puff.  If you want to push your product over the top, AMBRO Manufacturing also specializes in scented printing.  We can mix a scent in with your print.  Your jersey could smell like strawberries, chocolate, cinnamon, bacon, roses or whatever scent you can think of.  Our scent printing specialists can give you a truly unique look, feel and smell!
