Custom Discharge Printing

Do you need the softest prints around on your custom garments?  Have you tried screen printing before, but you think it’s too stiff or rough for your vision?  I’ve got some great news for you because here at AMBRO Manufacturing we offer custom discharge printing!  What is custom discharge printing?  It is screen printing that is done using a special discharge ink!  You see, most screen printing is done in plastisol inks because they are easy to use and they are very affordable.  Any waste plastisol ink can be reclaimed as it does not contain a solvent so it won’t dry up in the open air, but when it is cured it can be a little inflexible and rough to the touch.

For the softest printing you need discharge inks because they are water based, which means they do contain a solvent and typically the solvent is water.  In custom discharge printing the ink is much thinner and will penetrate the fabric more deeply which allows you to print over seams easily.  Why do we call it discharge printing?  Well, discharge inks are simply water based inks that have a special discharge agent added.  The discharge agent is responsible for removing pre-existing color from a garment so that you can deposit your desired color in its place.
