A full shirt design may look great, but it’s not as easy to produce as one might initially think.  The first obstacle is setting up your all over artwork.  A design that goes seam to seam on a small will not reach the seams on an extra-large.  Often times, to get the best proportion and composition, you will need separate artwork files for each size.  The next obstacle is getting the artwork onto the garment.  For a full shirt design you’ll need oversized screens to hold the artwork and machinery that can handle the enlarged screens.  The problem is that not every printing company you will encounter has the capacity for oversized printing.
