Large Format Screen Printing

Large Format Screen Printing is the process of printing on fabric with traditional screen printing methods, where the maximum print area begins to approach 40″ x 40″ and above.

Most screen printing companies are set up to print T-Shirts, Sweat Shirts, Pants and other clothing items.  Even if someone wears a 3XL,  the standard screen for printing garments of  22″ x 31″ is more than adequate for a front or back image.

As a result, the vast majority of screen printing companies, can not approach Large Format Screen Printing.

Large Format Screen Printing

Getting involved in true Large Format Screen Printing is not as simple as a screen printer investing in larger screens.  Standard screen printing presses are not set up to accept larger screens.  The stroke length and width of those machines would not be sufficient and the table plattens would also not work well for larger screens.

In order to move from standard garment printing sizes to Jumbo Screen Printing, Oversized Screen Printing or Large Format Screen Printing, the screen printing company would have to make significant investments and gain further knowledge to be able to mange the nuances associated with Large Format Screen Printing.
